This collection of Porsche parts was assembled by the seller over the past ten years and comprises hundreds of components that are said to be suited for Porsche 911, 912, 356, and other models. Among the parts in the collection are exhaust components, fuel tanks, fan shrouds, brake components, heat exchangers, dampers, air cleaners, carburetors, seat backs and bottoms, doors, bumpers, and more to 

It’s hard to imagine a world without the Porsche 911 running rampant in the streets and tearing through packs at race tracks, but how did we get to this point? As Donut Media explains in the above video, the Porsche 911 was introduced in 1963 as a replacement for the the long-in-the-tooth Porsche 356 — the car Porsche developed right after WWII. Originally slated to be called the Porsche 901, Peugeot swooped in and claimed all three-digit car names with “0” in the middle. In response, Porsche did what any company facing a lawsuit about a numeric name would do: it replaced the “0” with a “1.”

Now called the 911, Porsche’s new sports car became a staple among sports car enthusiasts and track rats alike. Over the years, Porsche added extra letters, badges and parts to the 911 to make it more powerful and homologate it to various racing sanctioning bodies but kept the air-cooled flat-six.
